The Department of Education of the City of Lorca organized the First Conference on School-Family Communication "For Our Children: Let's Talk" (18/05/2010)

This discussion and participation of parents and teachers will take place in the Garden Ruano morning and Wednesday afternoon.

The Councillor for Education, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, has stressed the importance of dialogue between different actors of the educational community to improve the training of students

The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, this morning the First Conference on School-Family Communication "For Our Children: Let's Talk", to be held tomorrow and tomorrow, 19 and 20 May in the Garden Ruano .

The council has explained that "with the collaboration of the Ministry of Education, the Federation of Associations of Parents of Students of Lorca and the Center for Language and Communication of the town have organized this meeting with a clear vocation of service, to build a space and time to facilitate dialogue and working relationship between parents and schools, encouraging family involvement in education, while providing a forum for training, discussion and exchange between the two main actors in education smaller ones. "

José Joaquín Peñarrubia stressed that "from the Department of Education want to offer the educational community meeting space and participation, where you can find the problem from the different components of education for effective communication."

Peñarrubia explained that the program will take place between 18:00 hours and 21:00 hours.

The conference was opened by the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the secretary general of the Ministry of Education, Jose Daniel Martin.

This dialogue will meet for its first day with the presentation of the PhD in Educational Sciences and Professor of Theory and History of Education Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia, Encarnación Bas, who will speak on the relationship family with school.
