Lorca is part of the eighth road to Vera Cruz, presented today in Cartagena (19/05/2010)

The Santiago basin in Santa Lucia, where tradition says the Apostle landed in Spain, is today the starting point of a new pilgrimage route.

The Councillor for Tourism Cartagena, Javier Herrero, along with their counterparts in the municipalities of Fuente Alamo, Alhama, Lorca, Caravaca and Totana have presented the Road Campo de Cartagena.

This is a route that goes from St. Lucia and the Campo de Cartagena travels to Caravaca.

From this point leave other routes, as another path to the Vera Cruz through Martínez del Puerto and Murcia, the road to Santiago de Compostela, and the Grand Tour GR92 path.

The new path is different and nice as it goes through greenways, based on ancient route of the railway line to Totana.
