The Session encourages citizens to show their solidarity closer to donate food to Caritas |
The Aldermen of Public Safety, Belén Pérez, Development Cooperation, Mari Carmen Ruiz, and Social Services, Lali Ibarra, have delivered this morning at Caritas a total of 166 food boxes whose contents will be distributed to needy families in our town.
This is a gift that reflects the Council's commitment to the welfare associations directly to citizens.
Municipal sources have stressed that now is precisely in times of crisis when both the institutions and all citizens must carry out a joint effort to help those who are faring worse.
The award ceremony took place at the Caritas facilities located in the district of Los Angeles, and it has participated with those elected officials, the President of Caritas in Lorca, Lazaro Caballero, who thanked the donation made by Municipal Consistory.
Since the City Council have encouraged residents to the extent possible, contribute to these efforts of solidarity among citizens about Caritas to donate food that can be delivered to the neediest families.
We hope that each contributes lorquino putting his two cents.
The donation made in the day today by the Municipal Town Hall provides the following foods:
- 3,900 units of juice (divided into 130 boxes).
- 810 packages of muffins (split into 27 boxes).
- 810 packages of cookies (in 4 boxes).
- 150 units of croissants (over 5 boxes.)
Municipal sources have explained that these foods have been classified and arranged by Local Police Lorca altruistically, and from donations made by different companies for the development of Road Education Week.
