The Governing Council has given approval for hiring, for a total of 13,180,000 euros, sanitation works in the councils of Purias-Lorca, El Campillo, Coy and Doña Inés, in the town of Lorca.
Collectors of Puri-Lorca, on the old road of Eagles, have a tender budget of 4,031,000 euros, and shall provide the council of Purias of a sewerage network, which currently lacks.
The collector of El Campillo has a budget of 5,062,000 euros and tender involves the introduction of a sewerage system and sewage disposal.
Both projects are part of the zone of scattered villages in the garden of Lorca, and will involve the evacuation of water through the collector of the Rambla de Viznaga, at the confluence of the garden sheds of Lorca and the Sierra de la Almenara, the treatment plant of La Hoya, which will increase the volume of water available for irrigation.
Regarding the general drainage collector and Doña Inés Coy, has a budget of 4,087,000 euros bid and will integrate these small towns in the river purification system Turrilla.
These projects are financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union by 80 percent.
The modernization plan of sanitation and sewage treatment Lorca involves a total investment of more than 100 million euros and covers four main areas of activity in the northern provincial Lorca, all spread with garden and city, south of the municipality and the coast.
Currently running in the town of Lorca works worth seven million euros, to which are added the 13 million authorized today, which represents 20 percent of the planned actions.
This action is another step in the General Plan of cleansing and purifying of the Region of Murcia, whose purpose, once built 48 large treatment plants in the 45 municipalities of the Region is to provide small towns to enable collectors water reuse and ensure the health of its inhabitants.
