The public platform for the fishing village of tips Calnegre urges the City Council that "no surrender" (27/05/2010)

This is one of the conclusions of the meeting held this week have affected his lawyer and the city council.

On the issue of demarcation, and pending the decision of the Supreme Court, is committed to "exhaust all possibilities"

The councilman of Culture of the Municipality of Lorca, Rosa Maria Medina, has reported the conclusions of the meeting that the citizens affected by attempts to demolish the fishing village of tips Calnegre have continued this week with his attorney and council members responsible for municipal councils in this regard.

Medina noted that the message of the neighbors, who have joined Citizens Platform to defend their rights and the maintenance of the town, is clear: "Calnegre not surrender."

This is the approach of those affected, who also want to make clear they do not provide any alternative other than the conservation fishing village on the conditions that historically maintained.

Rosa Maria Medina explained that this meeting took place in the city of our city, those affected have agreed that, with regard to the modification of the partition has not led to the filing of new cases since the decision is still pending to resolve by the Supreme Court.

In any case what we do have very clear, and it showed at this meeting, is that whatever the decision with regard to the delimitation, the platform is very clear that they will exhaust all possible legal ways to conserve village.

The affected people expressed their deep disappointment at the stance remains the subject from the State Coastal Authority and the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs, made it clear while its maximum support to the statement as well Cultural Interest in the village.

"Aggrieved and adversely affected" by the harassment and demolition against the town

The platform members reported that they are aggrieved and hurt by these authorities, as in other places are doing the "blind eye" to some buildings.

It is a feeling that we share from the city of Lorca, and we all know what's going on with construction of luxury housing that does seem to clearly violate the Coastal Act, and whose owners are prominent members of the PSOE.

That is why the line of "harassment and demolition" that have been scored against the town is even more unfair and incomprehensible.

Motion to Full Council

The Councillor of Culture has predicted that the Municipal People urge all political forces represented in the full City Council to express its support for the declaration of BIC in the town of tips that has brought Calnegre DG Culture CARM, a measure opponents with surprising craves both from the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs, and from the Coastal Authority of the State and even from the Government Office.

This is a motion which will contain an agreement to that effect and will be debated in Parliament next Monday, and we hope to gain the support of other municipal groups, especially when the United Left has backed such a declaration in different forums public.
