The Mayor's Political Councillor of the Municipality of Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz, has accompanied this morning to the last three groups of older people in our town who have taken part in the series of voyages under the "Know Your Region, and that, under the auspices of the Foundation Cajamurcia this year have been destined for the city of Caravaca, to commemorate the jubilee.
Jódar Ruiz reported that the participation of older group of Lorca in this program has been very high, and the precise figures will be known when performing the appropriate balance.
Jódar Ruiz stated that "this year we have chosen as a destination Caravaca de la Cruz, as it is one of the most monumental cities in the region of Murcia and most historic, to which must be added that this year and around Vera Cruz, has been declared a jubilee year for the Holy See.
The trips were made during the months of April and May, with departures from all villages and city districts in order to enable the participation of everyone over any part of the municipality.
The number of elderly enrolled in this initiative has been around 2,000 people belonging to all Pensioners Club City, Nursing Homes, Senior Classrooms and other institutions linked to the group of older people.
The mayor of Major Policy has stressed his gratitude to the foundation Cajamurcia for funding of this program, without whose invaluable assistance would be impracticable to carry it out.

Rise in tourist train to the holy city, including visits to Temple, Church of the Conception, Log, Main Street, Church of the Savior, Church of the Society of Jesus, the Monastery Church of San José, City Hall, Plaza del Arco, Sanctuary Santisima y Vera Cruz de Caravaca.

Arrival Lorca.
