Environment Councillor cautioned yesterday afternoon to a Guardia Civil polluting discharges into the channel of the Rambla Alta, in the hamlet of La Torrecilla
Melchor Morales, who has described the events as a "true aberration unworthy of human beings", was at the scene, along with residents, members of the Guardia Civil and Water Technical Lorca.
The spill, whose origin is being investigated, was composed of a mixture that seemed to contain high-density oils and diesel.
Councillor for the Environment of the City of Lorca, Melchor Morales, has reported that during the evening of yesterday (Friday) alerted the Guardia Civil, in particular the Service for Protection of Nature (Seprona) that was producing a discharge of pollutants into the sewerage system of the industrial estate and the channel Saprelorca Rambla Alta, in the hamlet of Torrecilla.
Melchor Morales explained that, during periodic inspections are carried out in that area, caused by repeated complaints from neighbors of La Torrecilla, visited the site with employees of the company Aguas de Lorca .
Once detected the spill, reported what was happening to the Guardia Civil, people shortly after a couple of the worthy in the scene.
The couple required the presence of his fellow Seprona who took charge of the incident.
Councillor for the Environment has indicated that the City Council is preparing a detailed report of what happened.
