The councilor of United Left-Greens of Lorca, Gloria Martin, has returned to demand the increase of the presence of troops of the Corps and Forces of Security of the State in the districts of Lorca, before the increase of the citizen insecurity.
The dawn of last Thursday the Banco Sabadell office of the deputation of La Paca was assaulted by criminals who produced numerous material damages.
Less than a month ago, on April 19, three hooded men tried to perpetrate another robbery in the office that Bankia has in the same parish.
In those dates, the social premises of La Campana was also assaulted and from it the computer material that was in said dependencies was stolen.
In all cases, and despite the neighbors' warnings, the local police agents of Lorca and the Civil Guard could not do anything to stop the assailants due to the distance they are forced to travel to the place where the assaults are being perpetrated.
Martín said that the districts of the north of the municipality are "totally unassisted" in terms of security.
There is only one Civil Guard barracks in the deputation of Zarcilla de Ramos where there are hardly any agents present "a few hours a few days a week".
In that sense, he reminded the mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, the historic claim of the PP, when he was in opposition, to "provide more human and material means" to the Benemérita, to meet the needs of the area.
In that sense, the councilor of Izquierda Unida-Verdes also referred to the investment of 700,000 euros, in 2014, for the construction of a local police headquarters of new plant in Zarcilla de Ramos that should have a staff of ten agents, a corporal and a sergeant "that shine by his absence".
The same happens in the similar infrastructures that were built in La Hoya, Purias, Almendricos and Ramonete with an overall investment of 1.2 million euros.
Martín also recalled that the PP closed the Cuartelillo of the Local Police of La Paca shortly after arriving at the Mayor's Office and that the neighbors feel "absolutely unprotected" and complain that there are no agents patrolling the area.
For this reason, it has once again demanded the PP its commitment to allocate 41% of the staff of the Local Police to the districts of Lorca, which translates into 60 agents.
"It is an essential service to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of rural Lorca," said Martin who denounced the "permanent punishment" that is inflicted on the residents of these areas through the systematic reduction of public services.
