The second deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán has demanded the start of the works of urban regeneration of the neighborhood of La Salud-Cristo Rey, whose remodeling is still pending.
Abellán has reproached the new Minister of Development during his visit yesterday to Lorca hide the delay affecting this work, whose project has been announced several times without the works begin.
As reported by the socialist mayor, today, the works contract "is not yet signed", so the start of work is delayed, to the indignation of the neighbors, who see how their streets are left "for what last "after" years of abandonment ".
The remodeling of this polygon, recalls Abellán, remained "in oblivion", in an "incomprehensible" way, since "the logic, and common sense, would have been to do it after the works of La Viña, Alfonso X and Saint Joseph".
It is not the first time that the PSOE has denounced the oblivion and the delay in the beginning of these works, which are in great demand by the residents of the area.
It is about works whose budget amounts to 2,018,128 euros, which was announced in the Government Council of 2017 and presented to the neighbors in February 2018, with the deadline of 12 months from the announcement.
