The Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, and the athlete Lorca, Úrsula Ruiz, presented this morning the XIV Championship of Spain - Bridgestone Tournament 'Playing Athletics' to be held at the Felipe VI Sports Complex Lorca and in the Huerto de la Rueda, on May 12 and 13.

The Councilor for Sports recalled that "in the female category involved schools in the autonomous communities of Catalonia, Andalusia, Navarre, Castilla La Mancha, Valencian Community, Cantabria, Ceuta, Baleares, La Rioja, Extremadura, Aragon, Madrid and Murcia, represented by the Narval School of Santa Ana de Cartagena and Alfonso X El Sabio de Lorca, which have been framed in four groups each with five teams.In the male category there are also four groups with five schools each, three of which are from the Region of Murcia, one of them the San Francisco de Asís School.
Bayonas has detailed that "the tests will begin on Saturday after the parade of all participating teams, scheduled for 10 am The tournament will start at 10:30 am with the men's and women's qualifying phase, with the completion of five individual events chosen and another five by lottery, for the 11: 55h the men's 5x2 relay events and 5x1 women's hurdles will be carried out, at 12:45 the classifications will be known for the final afternoon tests that will start at 16: 30h the individual and the relays, at 5:45 pm will be the turn of the Grand Prix (funny relay). From 7:00 pm the awards ceremony will take place ".
El Edil de Deportes has added that "for the day of Sunday there are planned coexistence activities in the Huerto de la Rueda Fairgrounds that will start at 9 o'clock with the warm-up and the return of the circuit that will be walking. The teams will take the exit in the so-called 'Relay of Friendship', from 10:30 am each Community will have the opportunity to show their typical products and there will be tastings. "
This championship is organized by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and has the collaboration of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia (FAMU), the Sports Department of the City of Lorca, as well as different sponsoring companies.
