The Community subsidizes up to 60 percent of the investment for these equipments that allow significant energy savings

An aid of 115,000 euros from the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment has allowed the implementation of a 160 kilowatt photovoltaic self-consumption installation in the company Pavements Asfálticos Lario, which already prevents the emission of 63 tons of dioxide carbon per year, a 36.3 percent reduction compared to the figures prior to this new equipment.

The general director of Energy and Industrial and Mining Activity, Esther Marín, visited the company in Lorca today to check the operation of this facility, which is already operational after the grant awarded in the year 2017. Thanks to the solar panels installed on the roof , the company can be self-sufficient to a large extent without having to resort to the general electricity network, which allows significant energy and economic savings.

Esther Marín stressed that "in this case, the emission reduction level of the new facility is equivalent to the carbon dioxide produced after traveling 473,000 kilometers in a gasoline vehicle, or that generated in about 1,183 trips from Murcia to Madrid. , we talk about very important amounts. "

The Ministry subsidizes up to 60 percent of the investment of companies for self-consumption facilities, not only with the aim of achieving greater energy efficiency, but also in order that these savings result in greater productivity and competitiveness.

In general, the aid requested is for equipment of less than 100 kilowatts, although in this case that figure was higher.

The company Pavimentos Asfálticos Lario was founded in 1960 as a family company of public works and services, with almost exclusive dedication to the paving of roads and small urbanisations.

Currently focuses on the production of aggregates and concretes, as well as the execution of major works on roads and roads, civil works and buildings.
