The stream has also been channeled in the eastern part of the landslide.

This action is the first of the four phases of the remodeling of the access road to the castle, which includes the connection with the southern area of Lorca.

The works have a regional investment of 1.2 million euros and will allow the expansion of this road to be adapted to the traffic currently supported and the reinforcement of security.

The Director General of Roads, Francisco González, visited the performance today and assured that the new road "will improve the conditions of circulation, accessibility and safety to this tourist and cultural area so important for the municipality."

The last phase of the works will focus, on the one hand, on the conditioning of the existing road to repair the deterioration and, on the other, on the extension of the platform, in order to adapt it to the level of traffic that currently supports .. There will also be a new asphalting of the current access road to the castle and the improvement of the signage and drainage of this road.
