Diego José Mateos: "The Mediterranean Corridor is inalienable for Lorca and vital for our companies, I said it yesterday and I say it today" (01/06/2018)

The passage of the Mediterranean Corridor by Lorca must be one of the fundamental supports for the economic recovery of the municipality, and to highlight the role of the city as head of the county and subregional capital.

Diego José Mateos, has claimed the need of the city of Lorca to be on the agenda of the Government so that we can be part of that Mediterranean Corridor.

The leader of the PSOE has made these statements taking advantage of that the movement # QuieroCorredorha made a stop in Lorca.

The initiative will cover its bus, on June 1 and 2, in the Alameda de la Constitución with an itinerant exhibition that informs about the project of the Mediterranean Corridor, at the same time that it will request signatures to arrive to the city of Lorca as soon as possible.

The initiative # QuieroCorredor has received this Friday, June 1, the support of the City of Lorca with the presence of the spokesman of the PSOE in Lorca, Diego José Mateos, and deconcejales of different political groups of the Municipal Corporation.

It is an initiative promoted by the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs and has had the support of the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Lorca and Chamber of Commerce.

Diego José Mateos congratulated the promoters of this initiative for the success of doing it, with which to claim the "unrenounceable" position that Lorca must occupy on the map of the Mediterranean Corridor.

The arrival of the Mediterranean Corridor must be one of the fundamental milestones for the economic recovery of Lorca and its region, and to highlight the role of Lorca as head of the county and subregional capital.

Mateos has emphasized the need to include Lorca in the agenda of the Government of Spain, and in that sense has insisted that this claim was made "yesterday with Rajoy in La Moncloa as I continue to do today with Pedro Sánchez as President of the Government from Spain".

Like those issues essential for Lorca, such as claiming the arrival of the necessary water, speed in the arrival of pending aid and in the closing of files of those affected by earthquakes, the necessary plan against avenues or the solution to the problem of town of Puntas de Calnegre.

In this sense, Mateos does not doubt the "firm and decisive" commitment of the Government for the Mediterranean Corridor, since precisely, it was in 2011 when, thanks to the work and determined commitment of the previous Socialist Government, when Brussels included this infrastructure as a priority axis for the European Union.

"Lorca needs Corredor and is inalienable, for three fundamental reasons: to favor the development of our companies, as an element of tourist attraction and for our strategic geographical position".
