The castle of the city, thanks to the initiative of Lorca, Taller del Tiempo, offers a wide gastronomic offer, in addition, of the guided visits entitled "The Sunset of History", and "The Guardian of the Stars".
The Councilor for Tourism in the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has reported that there are many and varied activities that are usually carried out in the castle of Lorca in summer, and that this year have begun earlier to enjoy this space at night.
The kitchen of the cafeteria "Las Caballerizas del Castillo de Lorca" also adapts its schedule to the summer opening in a special way every Thursday and Saturday of June and July from 8:00 pm in its terrace-lounge, offering a healthy kitchen , imaginative and of proximity, based on fresh products and the region of Guadalentín to enjoy summer nights.
The beginning of the activities has been marked this weekend by an event with "a lot of art".
Visitors to the castle will be able to enjoy a master class of hand painting by the professionals of "Salir con Arte".
They learned to paint their own painting in just two hours even if they have not picked up a brush in their life.
You can also enjoy guided night visits to the castle, under the name "The Sunset of History" in which, from the hand of a specialized guide, you can get to know the Jewish Quarter and the Lorca Synagogue and climb to the highest point of the city, the Torre Alfonsina, with breathtaking views of the Guadalentín Valley and from where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset.
These visits will take place on Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. in June and 8:30 p.m. in July.
As it could not be otherwise, night activities specially designed to perform as a family are also available.
Children and adults can enjoy the theatrical family night visit "The Guardian of the Stars" moving to the Middle Ages through legends and stories with the aim that all members of the family are the real protagonists of the story.
This visit will take place every Saturday in June at 8:00 p.m. and on Thursdays and Saturdays in July at 9:00 p.m.
Remember that with the Card Amig @ de Lorca you have your free entrance to the castle throughout the year, special prices on guided tours and other activities, discounts in store and cafeteria.
If you still do not have it, you can request your card at the Visitor Center of Lorca, at the Tourism Office of Plaza de España or at Castillo, directly on the day of the visit.
