The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, along with the IES professor Francisco Ros Giner Pascual Pérez have presented the musical "Rock Giner", which will premiere next Monday June 11 at 20.30 at the Teatro Guerra to benefit from the Alzheimer's Association and the Parkinson's Disease Association, ASLEP.

Llamas explained that "150 students and 20 Ros Giner teachers have worked for months in the preparation of this ambitious musical based on an original story created by a group of 4th-year ESO students, a multidisciplinary project in the that different didactic departments have collaborated, becoming an integrating activity in which different talents have been promoted, as well as teamwork and coexistence from an artistic and creative perspective ".

Isabel Millán stressed that "following the trajectory of solidarity activities organized by the institute on previous occasions, this project is part of the educational practice Learning-service, which works skills, attitudes and values ​​through activities that involve a service This type of activity includes the production and sale of perfumes for the benefit of the Association against Cancer carried out by students of the 2nd year of ESO, as well as a visit to the residence for the elderly ".

In the performance of the musical "Rock Giner" collaborate the Dance Studio of Nuria Periago and the City of Lorca, as well as the two groups to whom the benefits of their representation will be allocated: Alzheimer's Association and ASLEP.

Tickets are on sale at the IES Ros Giner, as well as at the headquarters of the Alzheimer Association, located at the Alameda de Cervantes, from 10 am to 5 pm and at the box office of the Guerra Theater on the same day of the representation .

Llamas wanted to congratulate "the participating students, the teachers who make it possible and the whole center for the implementation of this great musical that is a cultural stimulator and, at the same time, a new sample of solidarity that encourages this educational center among its students ".
