IU-Lorca asks for support from the rest of the municipal groups to hold a monographic plenary session on the return of earthquake aid (14/06/2018)

Pedro Sosa and Gloria Martín will also request the appearance of the Development Counselor.

They will also ask at the next ordinary plenary session about the status of the technical reports that the municipal services are carrying out so that those affected can justify the use of the aids in the repair works of the damaged homes

The councilors of United Left-Greens Pedro Sosa and Gloria Martin will request support to PP, PSOE and Citizens for the celebration of a monographic plenary session on the massive procedure of reimbursement of the aid of the earthquakes that is carrying out the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia (CARM).

Martin explained that the convocation of the plenary session should be requested by eight councilors, so that the three signatures of the IU councilors should add another five of members of the municipal Corporation.

Izquierda Unida-Verdes will also request the appearance in this extraordinary Plenary of the Promotion Counselor, Patricio Valverde, so that it can report on the details of the reimbursement procedure and clear the many doubts of those affected, "who are immersed in uncertainty and despair. "

In addition, at the next regular plenary session, which will be held on Thursday, June 28, Martin will ask about the status of processing technical reports that municipal services are doing in order that those affected can justify the use of aid in the works of repair of damaged homes.

"We want to know how many visits have been made, how many reports have been issued and sent to Murcia and what response has given to them the Ministry", said Martin.

In this regard, he recalled that the pressure exerted by the Platform of Affected by the Return of Aid from Earthquakes (PADAT) and the United Left helped the City Council hire support personnel to carry out these technical visits that are being carried out from the month of January.

However, not one of those affected has been able to justify even the help through this route.

The mayor of IU-Greens warned that many of those affected have already exhausted the administrative route and are receiving letters to return the aid with late interest.

In view of this situation, IU-Greens has convened a meeting of those affected so that a specialized legal team can guide those who wish to initiate a contentious-administrative procedure and fight for their rights.

It will be next Monday, June 18, at 20:30 at the headquarters of IU (C / Tello).
