The Local Development Councilor of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, this morning supervised the improvement works that are running in the Alameda Margarita Lozano, continuing with the comprehensive renovation of the old Alamedas that launched the Lorca Consistory past month of December and that has already been completed in the Alameda Ramón y Cajal, Corregidor Lapuente and Alameda de la Constitución.

The Councilor for Local Development has detailed that "for the improvement of the Alameda Margarita Lozano will act on a surface of 112 linear meters, and also proceed to the demolition of curbs in the gardens." Martínez added that "in terms of public lighting, 8 bulbs in existing luminaires will be replaced by new ones with low consumption, reducing total consumption by one third." Sandra Martinez recalled that "the area of ​​the Alameda de Lorca is the main green lung of the town, with green areas of special interest, being frequented by thousands of Lorca every day, being also the main communication as a corridor green between the center of the city and the neighborhoods of Santa Quiteria and Virgen de las Huertas, especially in the course of the patron saint festivities of La Virgen de las Huertas, the fair and parties in September and the events that take place in the city.
