Surveillance, first aid and rescue services in the two beaches of Lorca (22/06/2018)

The Regional Plan of Surveillance and Rescue in Beaches and Rescue in the Sea (COPLA Plan) of the Autonomous Community will be fully activated as of June 30, coinciding with the start of the high-risk period (months of July and August) , until September 2, on the coast of Lorca, with both surveillance, first aid and rescue posts, on the beaches of Calnegre and Calnegre, as well as mobile surveillance, both maritime and land, in the rest.

The counselor of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera, recalled in the act of presentation of the device that "in Lorca we had in 2017 a total of 145 interventions, of which 131 were cures and first aid and 10 rescue and rescue, which represents good news, because they were 77 percent less than the previous year. "

There are seven lifeguards that serve the established posts on the beaches of Calnegre de Calnegre and Calnegre, with a watchtower, assistance module and amphibious chair for people with reduced mobility.

In addition, the second of them has a new inflatable boat that will cover maritime surveillance from Cala Honda to Playa de la Galera.

Land mobile surveillance will be carried out with a 4x4 vehicle and a lifeguard from the beach of Parazuelos, border with Mazarrón, to the Ciscar beach.
