Citizens Lorca wants to know when the government team plans to start the districts and neighborhood councils, obligation of the municipalities of large population according to the final approval of the Organic Regulations of the Districts of the Municipality of Lorca, to promote and develop citizen participation in the management of municipal affairs and their improvement, without prejudice to the unity of government in the management of the municipality.
"Since then we are waiting for the government team to carry out the relevant work," says the Councilor for Citizens "and that was part of the white paper of the Popular Party of Lorca as an electoral commitment in the 2015 campaign."
After all this time, "we know nothing of the 6 districts, 3 in the urban area and 3 in districts, or the 49 neighborhood councils" adds the mayor.
At the next regular plenary session in June, the Municipal Citizens Group will address this issue.
"We are not optimistic that the government team will keep its promises and comply with the law."
