The Councils of Tourism, Citizen Security, Emergencies, Works and Cleaning reinforce their work so that Lorca's beaches offer an optimal presence, implementing human and material resources at the service of all citizens.

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, next to the Councilor for Emergencies in the City Council, Juan Miguel Bayonas, has supervised this morning the extraordinary device.

The First Edil explained that the municipal emergency device that has been established during the summer, which is framed in the Copla Plan, includes 3 lifeguards who will monitor Calnegre's beach every day, 4 that of Poblado de Puntas and another that performs mobile surveillance in the coves with a 4x4, as a complement to maritime surveillance.

In addition, a nurse and an ambulance of Basic Life Support SMS.

This plan covers from June 30 to September 2, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and was also carried out during the last two weekends of the month of June.

The Lorca Consistory, in collaboration with the Regional Government, implements the Copla Plan that throughout the summer has an important deployment of human and material resources necessary to carry out surveillance, rescue and daily rescue services throughout the the 10 kilometers of Lorca coast, which extends from the beach of Parazuelos, on the border of Mazarrón, to the beach of La Galera, with the municipality of Águilas.

This is a deployment that includes the presence of 3 professional aquatic lifeguards who monitor Calnegre beach every day, which this year revalidates its blue flag, and 4 will do so at the beach of the Punta de Calnegre village.

In addition, Calnegre Beach is going to install a post of First Aid, Surveillance and Rescue, located in the center of the beach, consisting of a surveillance post and a tower with assistance module and an amphibious chair for people with reduced mobility. .

On the other hand, in Punta de Calnegre Beach (Poblado) a fixed post of First Aid, Surveillance and Rescue is also established, with a watchtower, a pneumatic boat and an amphibious chair for people with reduced mobility.

This year, as an extension of the deployment of material means, there is a new boat with special design for rescue on beaches, of 450 centimeters in length with reinforced keel, integrated command post and a novel mechanism of automatic inflation and deflation of a sector of float to recover victims in the known water, as FRS system.

This boat is anchored at Calnegre Beach and covers the maritime surveillance from Cala Honda to Playa de la Galera, limit, passing through Cala del Ciscar, Junquera Beach, Cala de la Gruta, Cala Blanca, Los Hierros Beach and Playa Larga .

Land mobile surveillance is carried out with a 4x4 vehicle and 1 lifeguard from the beach of Parazuelos, border with Mazarrón, to the Siscal beach.

As in previous years and in the days of maximum affluence, the rescue team is completed with a nurse to attend on the spot any health emergency, adding to the Basic Life Support Ambulance planned to act if necessary from the Emergency Municipal Calnegre tips that the Murciano Health Service has been deployed since 2010. This base is equipped with a vehicle of first intervention with a 500-liter motor pump in case there is a small fire, as happened last year when one was cut in the area known as La Panadera.

It should be noted that members of the Municipal Emergency Service can also perform rescue work for injured animals and cetaceans that may be stranded on the beaches. "

The signaling flags are distributed in the respective surveillance and rescue posts, indicating the safety conditions of the bathing places through the colors red (danger and prohibition of bathing), yellow (caution) and green (safety).

From the Town Hall of Lorca we ask the bathers and visitors for their collaboration to respect the state of the flags, as well as the indications of the lifeguards.

In addition, after the final approval of the new Ordinance Regulating the Right Use of the Beaches of the Litoral of the Municipality of Lorca published in the BORM and in force at the moment, it is approached, among others, a title to the service of surveillance, rescue, lifesaving and security on the beach, being under sanctioning regime the breach of any of its prohibitions and rules of respect.

These actions in the Lorca beaches are carried out in coordination with the General Directorate for Citizen Security and Emergencies, belonging to the Ministry of the Presidency of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, regional administration that participates in the Regional Plan for Surveillance and Rescue in Beaches and Salvation in the Sea (PLAN COPLA).

Beaches for families, pets and naturism.

It is a text that includes, among other issues, the establishment of zones for the practice of nudism and for the presence of pets.

We are talking about a flexible document that we wanted to be "the Ordinance of all", incorporating the contributions of citizens.

The municipal text orders the use of the beaches of the Lorca littoral.

The City Council incorporated into this Ordinance the authorization of spaces for the practice of naturism and the presence of pets, respecting the environmental protection criteria established for the Lorca beaches as a natural park.
