The Councilor for Development of the City of Lorca, Ángel Meca, has announced the creation of a concrete passage through the Guadalentín River that will connect the Carretera de Caravaca with the La Parroquia Highway on the banks of the river itself.
The City Council will invest 40,000 euros in this way through the Pedestrian Works Plan that has the full funding of the Autonomous Community.

El Edil has announced that "the new pass will depart from the Ribera de San Miguel, in the vicinity of the Paso Blanco ship, and will extend to the RM C-15 highway, in the industrial estate of Serrata and next to the busy Carretera of Caravaca, counting on an extension of about 200 meters, with the improvement of this section we will be able to unite in a fast and direct way the Carretera de La Parroquia with the area of ​​the Caravaca Highway, facilitating the displacements especially to the neighbors of the deputations of Rio and Parrilla, who will no longer have to travel to the Puente del Barrio to go from one place to another, and the passage through this road will facilitate access to the industrial estate itself, Barrio de San Cristóbal and the highway, unloading the circulation in the vicinity of La Merced ".
