The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has announced that his group works on the allegations that will be presented during the public exhibition period of the new management model of the urban transport service in Lorca.

Mateos hopes that this time the Popular Party addresses the complaints of urban transport users and is able to develop a new model without falling into past mistakes, but are able to offer Lorca a "modern, attractive and functional "at the height of what a municipality like Lorca needs.

Diego José Mateos has announced that they will place special emphasis on "basic and fundamental" aspects, collecting the majority complaints of the population.

Specifically, through their allegations, they will demand improvements aimed at the renewal of the vehicles, the bus shelters and stops as well as the fulfillment of the announced schedules.

Similarly, they will argue for improvements in the connection between the city and the districts, especially the most populated ones.

Mateos has returned to ensure that the urban transport model of the Popular Party for Lorca "is not what the city needs because it is neither attractive nor ambitious." The main complaint raised by the Lorca, according to Mateos, is the failure to comply with schedules and the frequencies, which "are not adapted to the needs of the citizens but to the availability of use of the only five buses planned to serve 11 urban lines" -.

In the same way, they will request that the main line that lines the city, Line 1 (Apolonia-General Hospital Rafael Méndez) has a frequency of 15 minutes with four vehicles on weekdays (and 30 minutes on weekends) to make it profitable, compared to the 30 minutes planned (one hour on weekends to be served by only one bus).

Another aspect in which, according to the PSOE, should focus is to raise a connection with the train and bus stations to seek intermodality, as well as the service area of ​​Sutullena (the Cat), as it is "illogical "that has not been contemplated to date.

Among other proposals of the PSOE, is the claim of special rates for employees working in the industrial estates of Serrata and Los Peñones, who have been left out against those working in Saprelorca, as well as an urban line to the core of La Hoya, the most populated municipality and important economic center.

Mateos ensures that it is time to be able to design a transport model adapted to the real needs of Lorca to be modern, attractive and functional "and improve the quality of life in a very congested city with high levels of air pollution by ozone, one of the main causes of which is road traffic.
