The Councilor for Public Safety of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez Martínez, has reported on a remarkable action carried out by agents of the UPROL Unit last week through which they proceeded to identify and locate two people involved in various crimes, specifically one of they in a presumed crime of robbery with force and another in an alleged crime of reception.
This action was possible thanks to the security operations developed by the different units of the Local Police.
The Local Police Force learned that a person had accessed the interior of a company located in Serrata by climbing the fence surrounding the facility;
the offender had managed to steal several objects, leaving the area minutes later with the booty obtained.
Therefore, a police device was established that resulted in the location of the alleged perpetrator at the door of a store dedicated to the junkyard and located in the neighborhood of San Cristóbal, where, allegedly, he intended to sell the stolen items.
The agents managed to recover them in their entirety, verifying that they were very specific elements of stainless steel that were part of industrial machinery and whose theft had caused the use of said machines, with the consequent damage to the company that suffered theft by not be able to use them temporarily.
The agents proceeded to the identification of the owner of the junkyard and intervened the stolen objects, which were immediately restored to their rightful owner.
The authors of the events, JMG and CGM, of Spanish nationality, have numerous police records and arrests for acts of a similar nature.
The facts were communicated to the Civil Guard of Lorca from where the corresponding investigations and inquiries were carried out to clarify the facts and the judicial disposition of the two people involved in them.
The Mayor wanted to highlight "the importance of the constant prevention operations developed by Local Police that allow agents to be on the ground and be able to act in an emergency or need quickly, because only in this way can they respond to needs of the society In the same way it is necessary to highlight the collaboration with the rest of the Security Forces that operate in the municipality to guarantee the welfare of the citizens ".
