The Councilor for Water of the City of Lorca, Angel Meca, held a working meeting with the manager of the Entity for Sanitation and Wastewater Treatment of the Region of Murcia, ESAMUR, Joaquín Ruiz, to monitor the improvements in infrastructure of sanitation and purification in the municipality.
Meca recalled that "based on the agreement for the years 2015-2017 signed by the City of Lorca, ESAMUR and Hidrogea, important investments are being made to improve the purification of wastewater in the municipality of Lorca, a matter that is not see at a glance it is a priority for everything that supposes for the comfort of the neighbors and for the respect to the environment ".
Within the chapter of investments stand out those made in the Wastewater Treatment Plant, EDAR, La Hoya, which reach 580,000 euros.
The most noteworthy of these is the new cogeneration system optimized for the current biogas production, for an amount of 167,750 euros.
Effluent disinfection with REDOX and chlorine probe has also been improved, a new deposit has been installed, stage B has been recirculated to optimize denitrification and a new deodorization system has been installed.
In another order of improvements, a new magnetic levitation blower has been installed for an amount of almost 110,000 euros, in addition to improving the agitation system of stage A.
In the course of the meeting also analyzed other improvements of lesser amount that are being undertaken during the last months in the different deputations of Lorca with the aim of improving and optimizing both the sanitation and the treatment of wastewater throughout the municipality of Lorca.
Mecca wanted to express the municipal thanks to the "Regional Government and ESAMUR itself for this battery of improvements that make Lorca a municipality increasingly prepared for debugging and more respectful of the environment of which we are part".
