The Rapid Intervention Brigade of the City Council performs various improvement works in the parish of La Parroquia thanks to citizen participation (13/08/2018)

The Local Development Councilor of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, reported this morning of the improvement works that have been made in various streets and street furniture of the parish of La Parroquia through the BIR (Rapid Intervention Brigade).

Sandra Martinez pointed out that "in particular, the repairs that have been made by the professionals that make up the Rapid Intervention Brigade have consisted in the repair and replacement of steps in the access to the church square, the placement of pieces fallen from base of the same square, the repair of three sidewalks and the replacement of tiles in six areas of the street Palmeras and Mayor, caused by the roots of the trees, the cleaning of the weeds of the islet of containers located at the end of the street Rodríguez and the placement of a new mast for the flag next to the roundabout of Palmera Street and Rio Street. "

The Local Development Councilor recalled that "the City launched on June 22 the Rapid Intervention Brigade with the aim of responding immediately to various damages that may be caused in public squares or roads both our city and of our districts The first interventions were made on June 25 and since then there have been many requests that Lorca citizens have made to the BIR, so from the Lorca Consistory we continue carrying out this initiative with the intention of maintaining all our municipal term in perfect conditions and that can be enjoyed in all its splendor by Lorca and visitors who come to our town.

Martinez pointed out that "the team of the Rapid Intervention Brigade is composed of 10 people who perform masonry, locksmith, carpentry, painting and plumbing, and the workers have the support of different beneficiaries of the employment and training programs. that the Lorca Consistory is developing so that they can also carry out their training practices In terms of material resources the members of the BIR have at their disposal two vans, a box truck and a dump truck ".
