The Socialists describe as "regrettable and unworthy" the situation in which the Juan Casuco, Ángel María Villar and Alfonso Embarre soccer fields are located, as well as the image they present abroad;

in which the lack of maintenance, as far as lighting is concerned, makes them impracticable during the night, so they request a Maintenance Plan according to the category of Lorca users and clubs.

The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City Council of Lorca, Diego José Mateos Molina, has highlighted the regrettable state of the different municipal soccer fields in terms of lighting and the urgent need to provide a solution to these sports facilities, qualifying them as "unworthy" for a city like Lorca, which became a county reference in this aspect years ago.

Mateos recalled that since the PSOE, at the request of the different clubs that make use of these facilities, has repeatedly claimed the City of Lorca the urgent improvement of the lighting of the municipal football fields attached to the Carrasco Arts as Juan Casuco , Ángel María Villar in La Hoya and Alfonso Embarre in the neighborhood of San Cristóbal;

as well as the lighting of the car park attached to the Francisco Artes Carrasco Stadium.

The Socialist Spokesman considers this situation regrettable and wants to convey the complaints users, parents and football professionals Lorca.

"Municipal facilities where hundreds of Lorca athletes meet on a daily basis, most of them minors belonging to the different base football clubs, can not present these conditions for the practice of sports", especially, when briefly, by the decrease in daylight hours and time change, are used at night, preventing the normal use of them in training, reaching the end of the risk of cancellation when it comes to competitions, he adds.

In this sense, the socialist mayor also states that this situation translates a "terrible image" of our city abroad;

Mateos points out that there are numerous clubs outside of our city that also make use of these facilities in the different competitions that take place there.

For all this, Mateos has demanded the City Council of Lorca the urgent replacement of the luminaires of all football fields, that a light examination be carried out so that these fields have a correct lighting and the implementation of a maintenance plan continued in the time so that the current situation is not reproduced and guarantees its normal use, "in conditions of adequate visibility for sports practice according to the category of Lorca users and clubs," judgment.
