For the ninth consecutive year, Playing Athletics on the Street has come true to its appointment with sports aimed at the initiation of the youngest.

The Alameda de la Constitución has hosted during the afternoon of Wednesday the first of a total of 4 sessions of this fun activity to be held during the coming weeks in the municipality of Lorca organized by the Athletics Section of Eliocroca and the Department of Sports .

Up to 77 boys and girls enjoyed the circuit of adapted tests that began with two speed challenges: on the one hand 30 meters race and on the other obstacles race with 5 low fences;

the long jump test, having to get as far as possible with both feet together;

and finally the two launch tests, with a rubber ball and a javelin.

Between 18 and 19.30 the young athletes have had the opportunity to enjoy this tour that is already a classic in the calendar of the Olympics Lorca and that allows to know the exciting world of athletics.

It should be noted that this time it comes with a special prize.

And thanks to the collaboration of the Local Union of Merchants the winners of each of the categories receive a check of 20 euros for use in the local and traditional trade of our municipality, so the proposal is more than complete.

Both this special prize and the medals of the Games have been delivered at the end of the test by the Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, and the president of the Regional Union of Merchants, Antonio Martínez.

After the celebration of this first session, Playing Athletics on the Street will return on Wednesday 19 at the Parque de San José, on Wednesday October 3 will visit the Parque de La Viña, while the farewell will be on Wednesday 10 at the Corredera.

All sessions will be held between 6 and 7:30 p.m.
