The Regional Government will invest close to 3 million euros in the urban renewal of the Avenida de Europa and its adjacent streets, from which more than 2,500 residents will benefit (02/10/2018)

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and the General Secretary of the Ministry of Development, Yolanda Muñoz, have presented to the neighbors the project of urban renewal of the Avenue of Europe and the adjacent urban spaces, which include a fortnight of streets and the one that the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia will invest 2.924.000 euros.

Fulgencio Gil explained that "it will act on a total area of ​​110,000 square meters, which will replenish the infrastructure and services with innovative energy efficiency criteria and minimum maintenance cost, framed within the comprehensive renovation of neighborhoods damaged by the earthquakes of 2011, to which the regional executive allocates 22 of the 60 million euros that will be invested in the reconstruction of Lorca this year, in addition, the work also includes measures to boost the social activity of the neighborhood, as well as the renovation of equipment and improvement of the connection with the rest of the city with an execution period of 12 months ".
