It has become one of the most consolidated teaching cycles of the entire national academic sphere and has done so on its own merits;
it is the course that the University of the Sea offers within the agenda of the Sports Games of the Guadalentín and that in this new edition bears the title of "The future of Physical Education: towards teacher efficiency", having enrolled 124 teachers and students of all the Spanish geography.
Inaugurated on Thursday afternoon by the Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science of the University of Murcia, Arturo Díaz, the president of the Forum of Physical Education and Sports of Lorca, Juan Ortuño, and one of its directors, Antonio García de Alcaraz Serrano, this cycle aims to create a forum for debate and reflection on Physical Education at the present time, sharing new methodological proposals for both Primary and Secondary Education;
It also has among its main purposes to publicize the use of ICT in the field and share practical promotion strategies.
The auditorium of the University Campus of Lorca hosts the different sessions that take place from Thursday to Saturday, organized into different thematic blocks such as ICT, health or teaching methodologies.
Professors from the universities of Murcia, Castilla La Mancha, Alicante, Jaén, Granada and Almeria participate in the presentations, as do Primary teachers and teachers from various Secondary schools, as well as health or food professionals to offer a dynamic and enriching program that allows to improve the training of the participating teachers and share different methods of transmitting the passion for Physical Education from the teaching.
