The paddle has an intimate relationship with the city of Lorca.
We could check it just a few weeks ago with the celebration of the always attractive Intersport Zurano Tournament.
But also the youngest players wanted to have their participation in the Guadalentín Sports Games agenda and they did so through the Children's Tournament held this past Saturday on the slopes of the La Torrecilla Sports Complex and which added its eighth participation in the agenda of the Lorca Olympics.
On this occasion the competition system was divided into three categories so that the players would be organized in appropriate boxes for their ages.
Specifically there were sub 12, sub 14 and sub 18 tables. Pairs of 12 couples participated in the event organized by the Padel Club of Palencia, 4 per category, competing for matches between 10 and 13:30, all within the good atmosphere birth has characterized this tournament.
The winners in sub 12 category were Víctor Martínez and Sergio Molina, who prevailed over the couple formed by Mario Mora and Alejandro Gómez who were second, and Alejandro Giner and Pablo Sánchez who finished third.
In sub 14 the gold of the Games went to Natalia Pérez-Chuecos and Pablo Sánchez, followed by Francisco Javier Gómez and Miguel Ángel Martínez, while third were Pedro Martínez and Mario Martínez.
And as for the majors, Jorge Ruiz and José Francisco Ortega were champions under 18, leaving Mateo Martínez and Ángel Martínez second and Alberto González and José Manuel Páez third.
