The spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has shown his support for the workers of Coopbox Hispania Lorca and is made available to them, after the more than likely entry into bankruptcy of this packaging company, located in the Saprelorca polygon.
Mateos has requested the direct involvement of the local and regional government to avoid the closure of Coopbox Lorca and with it, the dismissal of the 114 workers.
The socialist spokesman has transferred to the workers his "support and solidarity" and has placed himself at his disposal to help "in whatever is necessary and in our hands".
Mateos has highlighted the difficult situation that these workers are facing, aware of the delicate situation of the company, and subjected since 2013 to a series of salary reductions without being effective for the survival of the Coopbox company.
For the Secretary General of the Lorca socialists, the conservation of this company is crucial, mainly for the stability of its workers and families, and also for the municipality of Lorca, as it has become an industrial reference, generator of employment and synergies with the industrial sector of the entire Guadalentín region.
Therefore, Mateos has appealed to the dialogue and institutional collaboration between the different political groups to show the necessary support and promote all the actions that are in our hands, and that these workers and their families need because of the situation so compromised in which They find their jobs.
Similarly, Mateos has called for the "direct" involvement of the regional public administration through the Institute for Development of the Region of Murcia (INFO), so that this body guide and advise these workers throughout this process.
