This program includes activities at the Francisco Méndez Civic Center, Los Ángeles, Alfonso X, Level Crossing, La Viña, Campillo, La Parroquia (La Tova), Marchena, Coy, Tercia, Morata, Campillo, Zarcilla de Ramos, Pabellón de San José, Pavilion Las Alamedas, Pulgara, La Campana, La Escucha, Ramonete, Purias and Almendricos.
The Councilor for the Mayor in the City Council of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, has supervised this morning the start of the programs that will be developed within the framework of the wide offer prepared for the last quarter of the year.
This is a battery of courses that includes a total of 800 places between workshops of memory (100), adapted gymnastics (520), artistic modalities (112) and new technologies (72 places).
We are talking about an offer that has been prepared by municipal technicians based on the demand and proposals of the users themselves, following the line of work established in this council to start up in each of the venues where the carry out the activities that best respond to the interests of our elders.
In fact we trust that the participants in these workshops will enjoy the multiple options that we offer, since they themselves are participating in the process of choosing the courses.
The calendar established for the remainder of the year includes the completion of a total of 1,328 hours, which are distributed among 200 corresponding to initiatives of new technologies, 288 artistic modalities (painting, crafts, dances, dressmaking, storytelling ...), as well as 216 related to improvement of memory and cognitive stimulation and 624 of gymnastics adapted to the elderly.
These hours correspond to a global battery of 53 courses, of which 26 are on health education, 9 on improving memory, 10 are related to artistic and cultural modalities and 8 are related to new technologies.
The theme that bases these workshops includes 3 areas:
Creative and artistic, constituting a space for meeting and training in artistic techniques aimed at maintaining personal autonomy and developing individual and / or group creativity: in addition to organizing exchanges, cultural visits ... and making creations known to the rest of generations and population in general.
It includes activities such as ballroom dancing, painting, dancing, cutting and making, crafts and storytelling.
New Technologies, in order to expand knowledge in information and communication technologies (ICTs) to apply them to daily, personal, family and social life according to our interests and needs.
It covers courses on internet, improvement and a creative classroom.
Health & Wellness;
The objectives of these courses are to promote personal autonomy and prevent dependence, maintain physical and mental abilities for as long as possible and improve the subjective perception of one's own health.
It aims to facilitate the practice of physical activity and the stimulation of cognitive abilities, self-care, physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing and the acquisition of healthy habits.
It includes workshops for cognitive stimulation (financed with 2,000 for the Hospital Virgen del Alcázar) and gymnastics adapted to elderly people (thanks to an aid of 10,000 from Fundación Cajamurcia).
