Local and regional leaders of IU-V and CCOO met this morning with the representatives of the workers of the Lorca factory Coopbox, located in the industrial estate of Lorca, to share the legal-labor situation to which the face the decision already confirmed of the presentation of an Employment Regulation File (ERE) by the company, which would affect in the form of suspensions and terminations of employment contracts to the two plants that the Italian business group has in Spain .
One in Madrid and the other in our locality.
After speaking with the representatives of the workers and waiting for the steps that the company is taking in matters of employment regulation files and an eventual bankruptcy, which will be answered in a timely manner by their representatives through legal advice and relevant economic, it seems that it is confirmed that the poor situation of the factory in Lorca is very marked by a poor management of the business group and to wipe the debts of the group decapitalizing the company of Lorca.
Sosa recalls that the Lorca factory currently has more than a hundred highly qualified workers and we know that the product they manufacture has a high demand in the market.
When this happens: there is factory, skilled workers and demand, all the actors of the conflict, including the politicians, have the obligation to explore all the possibilities for the maintenance of the jobs.
Regardless of how events are developing, the IU-V Spokesman has offered the support of its political formation at all levels, both in our municipality and in the Region or nationally, taking into account that the ERE and the approval of the same, in his case, very possibly it will be substantiated in Madrid, through the Ministry of Employment, when affecting more than two factories of different autonomies.
