City Council, CARM and Chamber of Commerce schedule more than a dozen activities to boost Lorca's trade during the last quarter of the year (11/10/2018)

The Councilor for Commerce of the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, the General Director of Commerce of the CARM, Francisco Abril, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca, Juan Francisco Gómez, presented this morning the Program of Activities prepared by this entity for the last quarter of the year with the aim of benefiting and improving the trade of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, both in the area of ​​promotion of the sector and in the area of ​​information, training and hospitality.

Several differentiated actions are contemplated:

Campaign to Promote Trade in Lorca

This campaign will be integrated by the following activities:

1. "Breakfast with us": This dynamic activity will be carried out in the different commercial areas of Lorca with the collaboration of the City Council's Department of Commerce and Hostelor.

The objective of this activity will consist in the delivery of stubs in the shops adhered to the campaign to exchange in breakfasts for two people among those who make purchases for a value equal to or greater than € 20.

These tickets will have a value of 3 euros and will be exchanged on October 26, 27 and 28 in the catering establishments that have adhered.

It is worth noting the great acceptance of this campaign last year, both by the shops and by the bars and cafes.

It was carried out in the commercial areas of La Viña and Puente la Pia;

this year will be extended to shops and catering establishments that wish to adhere without delimiting the areas.

2. "El Tesoro de Lorca": This activity aims to promote commercial areas or axes, achieve customer loyalty to avoid the flight of spending to other commercial concentrations, transmit an image of closeness and personalized service and attract new customers , both local and north of the province of Almeria, so difficult to grasp at this time.

This is a raffle against the clock that will consist of the distribution of checkbooks among the businesses that request it to distribute to their customers for purchases over € 10 and enter the draw of € 2,500.

This prize of € 2,500 will be invested in purchases of no more than € 300 among all merchants attached to the campaign.

The winner will have 3 hours to make purchases against the clock and spend the entire prize.

The participating merchants will place a badge on their premises informing their customers of the draw and their participation in it.

3. "II Edition of November Shopping Experience": Consists of a series of conferences whose objective will be to discover and understand the needs of the company and especially the small business in order to improve sales, introduce this sector in electronic commerce , customer loyalty, HR, etc. ... and thus contribute to professional development, providing the skills to be effective and encourage attitudes to be efficient.

The program consists of a business visit and three conferences given by speakers with extensive experience in their subjects:

October 31: Halloween night.

There will be makeup activities in a commercial area to be determined.

November 9th: Business visit: Visit to different facilities of companies in the Polígono de Elche to learn about other work procedures that provide a source of training to the commercial sector.

November 16: "From Compliance to Commitment (there is no different company with indifferent people)

Speaker: José Pomares, consultant and trainer specialized in managerial and commercial skills, with more than 25 years of experience as a professor of managerial skills and personal and professional ethics in more than 500 companies nationally and internationally.

November 22nd: "Where my communication with the client fails".

Speaker: Ángel López Naranjo, Marketing graduate and specialist in managerial and commercial skills development.

November 30: "How to generate sales for your business through Twitter, Facebook and Instagran"

Speaker: Carlos Bravo, co-founder of QUONDOS, first e-learnign platform specialized in online marketing in Spain and founder of Beguerrilla,

4. Christmas Showcase Contest 2018: Christmas Window Shop Contest will be held in mid-November, both in Lorca and in Puerto Lumbreras, with the aim of contributing to raising the commercial level of both cities and consequently attracting the the greatest possible number of visitors, with the consequent benefit for trade.

Three prizes of 350, 250 and 150 euros will be awarded and a plaque will be awarded to each of them and a prize of € 600 will be awarded to the best decorated commercial area, being handed out at an event held in the Chamber.

The awards ceremony will be on December 14.

Training activities aimed at the Commercial and Hospitality Sector

We plan to carry out a series of training activities for the promotion of small and medium-sized businesses with the aim of improving sales, customer loyalty, RRSS and languages.

The courses are the following:

English for merchants: from October 15 to November 19.

In order to facilitate attendance is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Paqueteria Techniques: October 15, 16, 17 and 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Window dressing: December 5, 6, 7, 8 and 12.

All these activities will be carried out under the sponsorship of the General Directorate of Trade, Consumption and Administrative Simplification of the Region of Murcia and in collaboration with the City of Lorca.
