The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has supervised this morning the cleaning and conservation tasks that the new team of 35 workers of the Municipal Park and Garden Service is carrying out in all the schools of the municipality, as well as parks, gardens and trees of all the urban Casse.
Fulgencio Gil has indicated that "after the award in June of this contract, all Lorca can have green areas and recreational well preserved to enjoy them, and that will enhance the presence and conservation of natural areas.This will be possible thanks to the effort and work of the municipal technicians, as well as that of all the workers who, with their task, will make all our green areas look more splendid for the use and enjoyment of Lorca and visitors. The Mayor also explained that "the new contract will cover 776,630 m2 of landscaped areas, which is 40% more than the previous one, and 24,239 trees." In addition, in terms of human resources, there is a specialized technician in work of arboriculture that joins an important team of workers with 11 more workers than before, which means an increase of almost 50%, which will perform tasks of irrigation, mowing and profiling of grass, fertilization, aeration, scarification and overseeding of grass, interbedding, raking, weeding and weeding, conservation of the structure of the existing plant elements, conservation of the trees, maintenance of the irrigation network, replenishment, pruning, shrub trimming, ornamentation of squares and gardens, as well as cleaning of these areas, among others, for which 14 brigades will be created per neighborhood.
