The PSOE has been forced to go to court to be given access and consultation to the files of several selection processes of personnel of Limusa (18/10/2018)

"If they have nothing to hide, they should have no problem in giving us the information requested, information that corresponds to us by right as councilors and as members of the Board of Directors"

The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has returned to have to go to court, in this case, to be allowed to access and consult the files of several recruitment processes of Limusa staff, and that both Mayor Gil Jódar and Limusa's CEO, Martínez Carrasco, deny him, despite the fact that this is an information that corresponds by right to Mateos, due to his dual status as councilor and member of the Board of Directors of the municipal company.

On September 5, Mateos requested access to view these files in order to monitor these processes, and also because of the numerous complaints and doubts expressed by the candidates for these selection processes.

"Month and a half later, we still have no answer" ..

The refusal of the Mayor and the CEO of Limusa at the time of giving this information to the PSOE councilor motivated Mateos to vote against the approval of these selection processes, during the last meeting of the Board of Directors, understanding that "no we can assess whether these processes have been correct or not if we do not have the necessary information to evaluate them. "

In spite of everything, these processes went ahead with the favorable vote of PP and Izquierda Unida, and the rejection of PSOE and Ciudadanos.

Both the Mayor and the CEO of Limusa also assured in this last meeting that "there was no type of complaint or appeal presented by any of the candidates against these processes.

However, Mateos was aware of, at least, a resource raised by one of the candidates.

Therefore, Mateos requires the Mayor to allow him to consult these files, understanding that "if they have nothing to hide, they should have no problem in giving us the requested information".

The spokesman of the PSOE has said "no problem in withdrawing the demand as soon as it is given access."

"We want to check if there are mistakes or not, as if there are more applicants who have raised appeals against these processes."

"This does not go against the workers who overcame the process, nor against the workers of the company who participated in the development of the process," says Mateos.

"It is an information that corresponds to us by right, and that is necessary to put light and stenographers on these processes of recruitment."

An information that, he insists, "is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the CEO Martínez Carrasco, as well as the Mayor, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Limusa".

Mateos assures that denying this information, which should be public by ignoring any confidential information, is an outrage to the rights that correspond to us as citizen representatives, and also play with the effort and sacrifice of each and every one of the applicants who presented themselves to these selection tests.

The Spokesman of the PSOE has offered this press conference accompanied by one of the applicants who filed an appeal against one of the selection processes, specifically, for an administrative position in the contracting department of the company.

The candidate, Jaime Insa, says that in his case City Hall and Limusa have surpassed "several red lines" that undermine the dignity of people.

In particular, Insa exercised its right to complain during the period of claims to file an appeal against the process, and what was their surprise that the company issued a final list of selected just two hours after registering, in time and form, their appeal .

"It is impossible for them to issue a list of definitive candidates without time to study and analyze my complaint."

For more information, Insa filed its appeal on August 6.

That same day, a list of definitive ones was issued without any response to this allegation, which was finally answered on September 10, four days after the list of final selected was announced.

A complaint that, in addition, was "denied" by both the Mayor and the CEO of Limusa during the last meeting of the Board, on September 5, when they were asked if any applicant had raised any appeal in disagreement with these processes.

The circumstance arises that, despite denying the existence of this complaint, paradoxically it was answered by the same ones who, in turn, denied that it had occurred.
