Mateos supports the modification proposed by Gil Jódar so that the journey of the AVE does not affect the neighbors of the path of En Medio, but is surprised that it does not think the same with the "screens" that would be generated on Avenida Europa with just 2 kilometers of burial that the current Mayor and the previous government left signed for Lorca

The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has shown his support for the modifications that, now that the Popular Party does not govern in Madrid, agrees to raise the mayor Gil Jódar in relation to the works planned for the arrival of the BIRD.

Mateos ensures that the improvements are "logical and common sense" although he warns the Mayor that it is "incompatible" to request both "speed" in the arrival of the AVE and at the same time propose new modifications that would inevitably lead to more delays because it forces to make changes in the projects ".

In this sense, Mateos regrets that Gil Jódar did not foresee these modifications at the time, which were never taken into account nor, therefore, transferred to the previous administration in view of the approval of the project for the arrival of the AVE to Lorca.

"We are surprised that the Mayor has this attitude now, when at the time he was unable to request these improvements from the previous government."

"If the Mayor had done his job at the time, these issues would be solved, too bad he did not dare ask for them when they ruled theirs in Madrid," adds Mateos.

In this sense, he wonders what the Mayor was doing at the time to not ask for these improvements, and why he did not say anything when the Minister came to sell the AVE project to Lorca.

Similarly, Mateos has said that "it is surprising that Gil Jódar is sensitive for the damage that the passage of the AVE could cause to the neighbors of the path of En Medio, but not think the same with the screens that would be generated in the Avenida Europa with just 2 kilometers of burying that he himself and the previous Government of Spain left signed for Lorca ".

However, Mateos has shown his support for the claims of Tercia's neighbors.

Unlike the current Mayor, Diego José Mateos says "we are of those who support our neighbors, their logical claims, govern who governs in Murcia or Madrid."
