From now on, thanks to the publication of the information study of the project for the integration of the AVE as it passes through Lorca, the neighbors will be able to claim to incorporate all the improvements to the final project.
The PSOE regional deputy, Alfonso Martínez Baños has reiterated the commitment and sensitivity of the Government of Spain to continue improving the final project for the arrival of the AVE, buried in an irrevocable way, as it passes through the city of Lorca.
Martínez Baños highlighted the "great step" advanced with the publication of the information study by the Ministry of Development.
A study "revised and improved" by the current Government of Spain that is close to the demands of the population of Lorca, since it foresees an extension in the forecasts announced by the previous Government, reaching 3.2 kilometers of underground railroad.
The publication of the informative study is a "very important" step that offers "facts" to the Lorca, unlike what the former Minister of Development, the Popular Party, who only offered "palaver and few concretions" brought.
Now, citizens can consult the study, unlike then, when the previous Minister visited Lorca.
Martínez Baños has assured that what the new Government of Spain has done, through the Ministry of Public Works, is "to review the study that had and improve it".
The Government has found a study that fixed an underground section of approximately 2.5 kilometers, and what the new Government of Spain has done is to expand to 3.2 kilometers with the commitment to continue improving this project, to the maximum possible.
The regional deputy recalled that the publication of the information study is a "very important" step because, from now on, it is when the exhibition period is opened so that citizens and groups can raise the necessary allegations so that, in short, follow making the Government of Spain aware of the improvements the project needs.
Now, thanks to the publication of the study by the current Government, "the neighbors are going to be able to claim, raise their improvements, once they are raised, they will be collected, and once we have the final layout, the project will be entrusted and we can start the execution of the work ".
Martínez Baños reiterated that "there is a lot of sensitivity on the part of the Government of Spain, and in particular, of the Secretary of State, to try that those 3.2 kilometers of underground train that the information study now foresees, can be improved, and in that we are putting all our effort from the PSOE.
The deputy hopes that all these obstacles that the new Government of Spain has found and that the previous administration did not foresee "in the end we can solve them, according to the logical and common sense claims that the neighbors of Lorca pose to us".
Regarding the alternative in surface posed by the informative study, Martínez Baños reports that it was also included in the informative study announced by the previous PP Minister, six months ago.
In fact, the study itself emphasizes burial as the "recommended, adequate and preferred" option.

Martínez Baños has accompanied, along with members of the PSOE de Lorca, the residents of Tercia, La Hoya and Marchena affected by the project of Construction of the AVE Platform planned for our municipality.
The socialist deputy has insisted that the new government has found a project "full of problems and obstacles" whose solution "now is on the table" thanks to the involvement and special sensitivity that has shown from the first moment the current Delegate of the Government, Diego Conesa.
Martínez Baños stressed that the Government Delegate is working to get ADIF to attend to the "logical, reasonable and sensible" arguments presented, both by the residents and by the City Council of Lorca, and trusts that they will be included in the final project.
"The neighbors can be calm, they can trust, because we are putting all our effort in solving the obstacles that the previous administration never contemplated," says Martínez Baños.
"We hope that these allegations are taken into account, to get the construction of these underpasses, so that you can save the damage that the initial layout would cause on the infrastructure, and even on traffic and the crops themselves."
