IU: "The real section of buried AVE in Lorca that contemplates the informative study is 2.5 km, then the PSOE lies" (05/11/2018)

The rest will go in trenches with concrete walls up to 10 meters high.

Pedro Sosa dismisses as "incongruous" that the secretary general of the Lorca socialists, Diego José Mateos, speaks of "sensitivity" of the government of Spain when he barely contemplates half the burial that he himself demanded only eight months ago

The councilors of Izquierda Unida-Verdes, Pedro Sosa and Gloria Martin, have accused the PSOE of lying about the length of the underground section of the AVE passing through Lorca, and that the Socialists say it is 3.2 kilometers.

Gloria Martín explained that, with the informative study of the project of urban integration and adaptation to high performance of the Railway Network of Lorca in hand, the length of the underground section is only 2.5 km (2,550 m), "exactly the same that projected the last Minister of Development of the PP, Ãñigo de la Serna ".

The rest, up to those 3.2 kilometers of track, is solved with a trench of reinforced concrete screens up to 10 meters high, as the document reads.

INFORMATIVE STUDY OF THE PROJECT OF URBAN INTEGRATION AND ADAPTATION TO HIGH PERFORMANCES OF THE RAILWAY NETWORK OF LORCA

Martín censured that the PSOE "manipulate" the data and try to deceive the citizenship to sell as an achievement what only a few months ago was "inadmissible".

In this regard, Pedro Sosa described as "incongruous" that the secretary general of the Lorca socialists, Diego José Mateos, talk about "sensitivity" of the government of Spain when only half of the burial that he himself demanded just eight months ago ". And it is that before the arrival of the socialist Pedro Sanchez to the Moncloa, Mateos said that the burial of 4.3 km was "irrevocable" to "not strangle the growth of the city" and that the opposite would be "a historical error that we will end paying all Lorca. "

In February of this same year, the local PSOE warned that the passage of the AVE would constitute a barrier that would "forever mortgage the urban and economic future of the neighborhood of San Cristobal, San Diego, Los Angeles and Apolonia, isolating them from the rest of the city".

For that reason, they raised the barrier of the "integral" burial in the 4.3 kilometers of existing roads between the Apolonia neighborhood and the connection with the Águilas highway (RM-11), which is the area that the current General Plan of Urban Planning plan as future urbanizable areas and expansion of the city.

Diego warned Sosa "to the Diegos" in reference to the own Mateos and to the Delegate of the Government in Murcia, Diego Conesa that "IU is not going to consent that the project of the Government of Pedro Sánchez split in half entire districts".

Pedro Sosa said that, at the urban and educational level, the "disastrous" municipal and regional policies of both the PP and the PSOE practiced over the past two decades, "have turned the Barrio de San Cristóbal and its surroundings into a ghetto "

"The tip would be to leave these neighborhoods without opportunities, divided and isolated forever," he said.

For that reason, he assured that IU will channel the local indignation and that it will give "the battle", which will be "bloody", if the Government of Spain does not relent in its efforts to commit this "aberration".

The spokesman of IU-Green assured that the position of the PP regarding the burial of the AVE "is exactly the same movie" that the one of the PSOE.

"When Francisco Jódar was mayor of the PP demanded the Government of Zapatero the burial of 4.5 kilometers of roads as it passed through the city and then ducked the ears when theirs came to the Moncloa," recalled Sosa.

In this regard, the spokesman of IU-Greens also criticized the "conformism" of the current first mayor, Fulgencio Gil, who considers good a final burial of 2.5 kilometers.

Sosa also demanded that he comply with a motion of IU approved in plenary session in May 2017 for which the first mayor was committed to convene a 'Debate on the state of municipality' that is already "one year late" and that It is "essential" to be able to also address what is related to the AVE.

Finally, Sosa and Martín regretted that "both" have since the beginning of the century "selling smoke" to the neighbors and using the AVE "as a throwing weapon".

Meanwhile, the commuter network, which is what the working class really needs, is still one way, does not have a single electrified meter and has obsolete trains that are "the country's shame".

The AVE "is not the model of IU" since it is an "elitist and very expensive transport, in addition to a focus of waste and corruption," they said.

"Our priority is the modernization of the neighborhoods and the recovery of the rail connection with Andalusia through Alvia high-performance trains, which run at 200 kilometers per hour on conventional gauge tracks," they concluded.
