detail of Lorca

Lorca managed to end last October with a new drop in unemployment which is the best data of the labor market in the last ten years (05/11/2018)

The sectors that created the most jobs were Agriculture (80) and Construction (19).

The total figure improves by 5 people during October, and by 136 over the last year.

The Local Development Councilor in the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, has reported that the figures for job creation in our municipality continue to evolve positively.

In fact, according to the data that gives the balance that offers us the past month of October, the unemployment has chained a new fall of 5 people, what reduces the total number of unemployed people to 4.944, what constitutes the best datum of the market of our municipality since December 2008. We would have to go back in time to periods before the crisis to find similar figures.

We are, therefore, before a very good news that we have to congratulate all Lorca, because we are talking about a common work, involving public administrations, groups and social and business agents, as the main elements of a project common.

The mayor of Local Development has explained that the main sectors generating jobs in our region over the past month of September have been Agriculture, which created a total of 80 jobs, and Construction, where 19 were generated. We are talking about a trend that we can congratulate, and that is a stimulus to continue working in favor of all Lorca, since we share the concern of those who are still unemployed.

We can also point out that the interannual figure that marks the number registered between October 2017 and 2018 reflects a decrease in unemployment of 136 people, confirming that the evolution of the trend continues to be favorable for all.

Martínez Navarro pointed out that in terms of employment we have to maintain our level of demand very high, erasing any type of conformism, since we must continue working so that unemployment continues to decline;

every unemployed person deserves to find a job that fits their profile and all administrations have to continue to have anti-unemployment policies as a high priority.

In fact from the Department of Local Development we continue working with the same intensity during the summer and preparing new initiatives that we will develop from September to professionally train, train and expand the employability of hundreds of Lorca.
