The PSOE again highlights the inability of both the mayor, Fulgencio Gil, and the CARM, to award and execute the works of the Central Round, in violation of deadlines and conditions.

The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán has denounced the "new paralysis" of the project of the Central Evacuation Round, on this occasion, which affects the works of section II, ranging from the sports complex Felipe VI until the convent of the Clarisas, crossing through a viaduct to cross the river Guadalentín.
Since the end of September, that is, a month and a half ago, the works are paralyzed without anyone giving the slightest explanation.
Despite having taken two years to process the record of this work, as the Municipal Socialist Group has learned, "there are errors that prevent the development of the work," says Isidro Abellán.
This work, which took two years to process, was awarded on June 11 of this year for an amount of more than three and a half million euros (€ 3,620,824), whose contract was signed a month later, the 11th. July of this year, with a deadline of nine and a half months.
"The work should be completed by the end of the month of April 2019," he says.
However, warns the socialist mayor, "we are half the time given for its execution, and the works are stopped since last month."
"Not only are the deadlines being violated, it turns out that the conditions of the work are being violated, and this is because there are errors in the project, which make the works are paralyzed," says Abellán.
From the PSOE point out that it is "another example" of the "inability and mismanagement" that this mayor, Fulgencio Gil, is doing.
"They are completely exhausted, without a project, without ideas."
Abellán has demanded that Gil Jódar respond and explain to Lorca why "again the Central Round project is paralyzed, delayed and, therefore, increases the risk of running out of time to justify the completion of the project of the central round within the term set by Europe ", December 2019, which, he warns," may lead to the return of the financing affected to this work ".
Since the PSOE have returned to show their concern because "this work is essential for the structuring and development of our city."
For this reason, they will also ask at the Regional Assembly for the technical reasons that prevent the continuation of works of section II of the central round and for the solutions that will be adopted.
