Lorca's "El Roano" cheeses are awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals from the World Cheese Awards held in Norway (08/11/2018)

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, received this morning the entrepreneur Lorca Pedro Giner, owner of the Cheese Factory "El Roano", to congratulate him for the awards obtained at the World Cheese Awards held at the International Cheese Festival in Bergen (Norway) and at the Sepor de Oro Gala, framed within the 51st edition of Cattle, Industrial and Agroalimentary Fair of Lorca.

Fulgencio Gil pointed out that "within the International Cheese Festival, the gastronomic event of the most important sector of the year worldwide, the World Cheese Awards are awarded, the Oscars of cheese." The Roano cheese factory is a pride for our municipality "he has achieved that his products are among the best in the world, since they have taken the name of Lorca to this great gastronomic showcase worldwide".
