The president of the PP of Lorca and mayor of the municipality, Fulgencio Gil has demanded this Monday "the immediate start of the works of the Palace of Justice of Lorca, some works that are paralyzed."
Gil has been accompanied in his appearance before the media by the senator of the PP, Pedro José Pérez and the deputy for Murcia, Javier Ruano, who have explained that the Popular Party has presented a battery of motions before the Congress of Deputies, the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain, the Regional Assembly of Murcia and the municipalities of Lorca, Águilas and Puerto Lumbreras, to "demand that the approximately 150,000 residents living in these municipalities, attached to the judicial district of Lorca, dispose immediately of the facilities and services they need to enjoy a first-class Justice ".
It should be remembered that the execution time of this work, which in principle was to be 4 years, was cut in half at the request of the mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, who believes that "we are hiding what is behind, and what we have been able to know unofficially, they are vague excuses ".

During his speech, the PP senator, explained the current situation in terms of judicial facilities, specifying that "Lorca has seven courts of first instance and instruction and two criminal courts," adding that "the impossibility of the current Palace of Justice to host new judicial bodies, has made the courts that have been created over the past few years are currently spread over four different locations in the city. "
This physical dispersion, remarked the senator of the PP, "causes numerous damages and discomfort to officials, professionals and citizens."
Thus, he explained, "from the Ministry of Justice of the PP Government was bid in 2017 the construction of this infrastructure, which at the beginning of 2018 was awarded and was scheduled to start the work for last spring."
On the other hand the national deputy of the PP, Javier Ruano has denounced the "political sectarianism" that is being carried out by the Government of Pedro Sanchez "not only with the new Courts of Lorca but with the Region of Murcia in general".
For this reason, he has asked the delegate of the Government in the Region, Diego Conesa, to "get involved with Murcia because his government only bets and invests in those autonomous communities governed by the PSOE."
