Ciudadanos Lorca presents a motion to the plenary for November of support and social welfare of the people affected by SCC (15/11/2018)

Citizens ask for training and social awareness for these patients through information campaigns and action protocols

Citizens support with this motion the patients of these chronic pathologies of unknown origin and in a large number of patients, especially disabling.

Antonio Meca explains that this motion "has been agreed with the President of the Coordinator of Fibromyalgia of Murcia, which is in turn President of Fibrofamur, as well as the President of Lorca, who have enthusiastically welcomed our proposal"

Studies suggest that about 4.2% of women and 0.2% of men have been able to suffer some of the diagnoses included in the central sensitization syndromes throughout their lives, which would represent more than 3,000 people of Lorca, some 15,000 in the Region of Murcia and 1,700,000 in Spain.

"With this motion we intend that the City of Lorca works for the patients of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue of the locality, implementing information campaigns, educational talks, conferences and awareness actions" adds Meca.

The orange training will also ask the plenary to create a protocol for action by the technicians of the Department of Health and a protocol for training health personnel, social workers and social educators.

Meca will propose to program within the range of activities of the Department of Sports "sessions of specific physical exercise as a primary activity to be performed by these patients such as gymnastics and therapeutic swimming" to which adds an adaptation of the street furniture to the needs of the people diagnosed with chronic fatigue increasing the number of banks and seats in public spaces.
