The PSOE requires the Autonomous Community to stop claiming from those affected the return of the interests of the state part of the earthquake aid (15/11/2018)

Diego José Mateos: "Not before with Rajoy, not now with Pedro Sánchez." The Government of Spain has never required those affected to return the interest corresponding to the state part of the aid, nor has asked the Government of López Miras that Do it".

The PSOE requires the CARM to act ex officio by declaring, after appropriate procedures, the prescription of the corresponding files under the opinion issued by the State Attorney.

"If the files are declared prescribed, and the demand for the payment of interest is paralyzed, we demand that the CARM return the wrongful income to those affected"

The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has announced that the Municipal Socialist Group will submit a motion for the Plenary session of the municipality of Lorca to require the Autonomous Community to stop and suspend the requirement for the return of the corresponding interest of the state part of the aid, since "no administration has claimed the Regional Government the reimbursement of these interests."

In addition, it will demand in the Plenary to demand that the CARM act ex officio regarding the prescription, declaring, after appropriate formalities, the prescription of the corresponding files under the opinion issued by the State Attorney in connection with the determination of the prescription periods.

Mateos has been forceful in ensuring that "neither Rajoy nor Pedro Sanchez now".

"The Government of Spain has never required those affected by the return of the aid to pay the interest corresponding to the state party."

"It is the Autonomous Community which, on its own, is asking the State to return this fifty percent," he points out.

The spokesman of the PSOE does not agree that for the Autonomous Community have affected first and affected second.

That is why the PSOE will raise this motion to plenary with which "we are going to ask that the City of Lorca require the Autonomous Community to paralyze and suspend the requirement of these interests, from the state party, insofar as they are proceeding to the closing of the files, in application of the agreements adopted by the own Autonomous Community.

"The same diligence he had to take out of the regional accounts the reimbursements requested by those who have a principal still pending, is what the Regional Government should now also have for all those who have pending the return of interest," claims Mateos.

If the files are finally declared to be prescribed or the non-requirement of interest is agreed, Mateos requests that the CARM proceed ex officio to the refund of the undue income in favor of the beneficiaries.

Mateos has also claimed "institutional loyalty" to the Regional Government.

"What the Regional Government has to do is not to do politics at the expense of the suffering of those affected," and to be loyal to the party's interests, adding efforts and, in short, to cooperate in order to close files and resolve the concerns of these families. "

With his motion, the PSOE will also ask the regional government that all information that is available, and that serves to help solve this situation "be transferred and shared with all administrations, both local and state."

"Only with the collaboration of all, we can be in a position to shelve this issue," he says.
