Espolín, the mascot of the future ciuFRONT, stars in the didactic publications of the medieval museum of the city of Lorca (20/11/2018)

The Councilor for Culture of the City Council of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, together with the president of the San Clemente Youth Association, Miguel Ángel Vera, and David Torres del Alcázar have presented what will be the mascot of the ciuFRONT, the medieval museum of Lorca, who is already a didactic publication intended for children.

Llamas has announced that "with the imminent start-up of the medieval museum of Lorca, ciuFRONT, and the visits that are being organized nowadays in the medieval wall, from the Federation San Clemente has opted for the planning of visits adapted to all public and, especially, the youngest ones The publication of age-specific material by the Federation begins with the Coloring Book, which is the first of a series called "The Adventures of Espolin" ".

Espolín is inspired by the great towers of the Castle of Lorca and will be the owner of the so-called Club Espolín that is formed as a didactic office of the ciuFRONT.

This club will be responsible, in close collaboration with the San Clemente Youth Association, to bring the youngest to the medieval past, traditions and heritage Lorca.

This first notebook, subtitled "The festivities of San Clemente", is a bilingual Castilian-English edition that consists of a total of eighteen illustrations set in different monuments and activities of the San Clemente patron saint festivities.

The climb to the Castle, the procession of the Patron, the game of signs or the legend of the conquest with the flock of sheep and rams are some of the activities that are presented with the most important monuments of the city.

The original idea of ​​this publication, the illustrations and the texts are the work of art teacher and art historian David Torres del Alcázar.

The adaptation of the texts is due to the primary teacher María Belén Millán González and the translation into English comes from the hand of Manuel Cerezo Mula, English teacher of Secondary Education.

It has a circulation of 500 copies made on paper with a certificate of origin responsible for the environment.

The publication has the corresponding specific registration number for didactic notebooks and can be purchased in bookstores, collaborating shops and through the members of the Governing Board of the San Clemente Federation.
