The Consistory recalls that the municipal technicians have detected incidents that will force to extend the burial distance, demands that the Ministry of Public Works respect the commitment to finance 100% of the work, and demands that it not be delayed any more.
The Deputy Spokesperson of the Municipal Administration, Fátima Mínguez, reported that the City Council is calling on the Government of Spain, both the Ministry of Development and the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (ADIF) to respond to the allegations presented by this City Council regarding the arrival of the AVE to the municipality, especially those that have to do with the affections of the overpasses projected on the stretch Lorca-Totana, that the Consistory wants to be changed by lower passages, reducing the problems and expropriations to those affected.
Fátima Mínguez has indicated that we want these changes accepted because they are perfectly acceptable.
We are with our people, supporting the requests of our neighbors and their just demands.
The truth is that more than half a year ago we asked the Government of Spain to address our allegations, the months pass and there is no response, prolonging a concern and anxiety among the neighbors that we do not consider fair.
The City Council fully supports the Villaespesa Soterrada platform, made up of Lorca affected by the expropriations and works planned for the Sangonera-Lorca AVE line, and which belong to districts such as Marchena, La Hoya and Tercia. As main contributions, we request that, taking into account the high traffic recorded by the roads Villaespesa and Enmedio, in both cases it is claimed that the steps are not elevated but underground, in addition to the replacement of the roads of the Sierra de la Sierra, Puente Churra and Vereda de La Palma.
These requests include the realization of a less invasive alternative for the private buildings affected, as well as the incorporation of more drainage works and the extension of the existing ones of 2.2 m, to avoid afflictions in case of torrential rains.
The Municipal Vice-speaker has stressed that we must mention as a most outstanding example change the high elevation envisaged at the intersection of Villaespesa by an underground passage, rejecting the construction of slopes of 16 meters in height very close to existing housing, and reducing very considerably the affection to private houses and land, as well as farms and agricultural cooperative facilities.
