The PSOE requires the Mayor to serve the residents of El Calvario and act urgently in the face of the worrying collapse of Second Fall Street (27/11/2018)

The carelessness of this Mayor and the ineffectiveness of his government team, unable to deal with the many complaints from the neighborhood, have led to the appearance of a major caving in the pavement of Second Fall Street, which worries neighbors.

The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar has demanded the current Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil Jódar to immediately order the repair of the sunken sign of Second Fall Street, in the neighborhood of El Calvario.

After this complaint, the mayor has informed the Local Police the situation of "danger", so that they cordon off the area, as long as this problem is not solved, given the risk of any incident occurring due to the danger for the people suppose this sinking.

The socialist mayor has come this morning to the area, after the call of neighbors on this street, who have warned of the emergence of an important sinkhole, they say, is the result of laziness and "ignore" that the City of Lorca maintains towards these neighbors.

The socialist mayor criticizes the Mayor for his "sloppiness" that has ended in the appearance of an important landslide under the pavement of this street, despite the fact that the neighbors had been showing their concern for weeks and warning of the collapse of the pavement.

Sánchez Jódar has assured that the residents of this street have been expressing their complaints and their worries for weeks, he warns, this street is "very busy", especially by the schoolchildren who daily walk this street to get to the nearby Andrés García Soler school, and for the important traffic that supports this road.

As a result of these complaints, the City of Lorca, at the direction of the government team, offered no solution other than "throwing four cement sticks" last week that has only served to make the situation worse.

For that reason, Sánchez Jódar has demanded that the Mayor immediately order a "definitive solution" to the risk that this collapse may continue accentuating, in a street that, paradoxically, was remodeled recently due to the works of urban regeneration of the area.

"Once again the bullshit of this Mayor and his government team are very expensive," the mayor assures.

"We are facing another of the visible consequences of the planning of the works at breakneck speed that this Mayor and his team of councilors have made", he assured.
