A new subsidiary execution by 3.199,24 raises to 31 that this year is having to assume the City Council due to the negligence of the property owners.

The Deputy Speaker of the Government Team in the City Council of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, informed this morning of the main issues that have been addressed in the weekly meeting held by the Municipal Council's Governing Board.
In the chapter of Intervention, has proceeded to the approval of a battery of 187 bills derived from fertilizers made to municipal suppliers for a total amount of 208,800 euros, in addition to 2 certifications of works that represent a total economic amount of 173,100 euros.
The Urbanism section has included the approval of a new motion regarding the subsidiary execution, commissioning of actions and prior requirement for the payment in voluntary period of emergency works in a private property of the street Travesía Segura, located in the neighborhood of San Cristobal.
The cost that will have to run the municipality to meet this work amounts to 3,199.24 euros.
We are talking about the number 31 file that this year has to face the City, which is leading to 2018 an expenditure of 76,281.68 euros.
The object of this intervention includes the cleaning of the eaves of the façade, proceeding to the removal and replacement of unstable elements susceptible to fall to the public road, in addition to the cleaning of the interior of the building and closure or walling of gaps to the road public, so as to prevent the deposit of garbage and debris inside.
We are talking about cases audited by municipal technicians, addressed by different municipal departments and whose owners weigh execution orders that have been ignored, and we can not give rise to any eventuality.
Fátima Mínguez has reiterated that it can not be that Lorca have to assume the expense of fixing and cleaning the particular properties of citizens or entities that for any reason decide to leave in a situation of abandonment of solar or buildings.
These are exceptional actions by the City Council, which can not become habitual, as it is not the Council's own task to have to pay with the money of all citizens the necessary cleaning of unoccupied lots and houses.
It is not the City Council that has to clean the private lots, that is the direct obligation of the owners.
Each one is responsible for what he does with his house.
Both the historic center and other enclaves are paying the irresponsibility of the owners of the properties, which leave the abandoned houses, and it is a contradiction that we have to be the rest of the citizens who pay for the maintenance of these properties.
Procrastination is the fault of the owners, and we have to be aware of what responsibilities each citizen has.
In any case we must make it clear that we act to avoid major incidents, but the invoice of the works will have to be paid by the owners of the properties.
The section of Hiring has contemplated the approval of the JGL to the adjudication of the supply and installation of playgrounds in the parks of the high districts and of the south of the municipality.
This is an acquisition that will directly benefit the residents of the councils and that involves an investment of € 24,700.94.
Mínguez Silvente stressed that the JGL has also awarded new investments for improvement in the districts of Torrealvilla, Zarzadilla de Totana, La Paca and Doña Inés.
In the first case it is the rehabilitation of the historic public laundry, proceeding to the improvement of its structure, repair of the roof, enclosures, drains and arrangement of walls and paving with cobblestone of its environment.
We are talking about an intervention that entails an investment of € 14,896.83.
The investment in Zarzadilla de Totana will make it possible to repair the Melilla crossing, in which it will act to proceed to the artificially compacted gravel pit, as well as to the pavement based on bituminous hot mix with a length of 110 m, and a thickness of 6 cm, after priming irrigation.
The execution of this work includes the diversion of the existing irrigation pipeline based on pvc pipe.
In this case a total of 19,598.99 euros will be allocated.
The project that has been awarded in La Paca will involve the repair of the streets La Cuesta, Subida del Depósito and others, which will correct the deteriorated state of the pavement in the area of ​​sidewalks and road, using 19,400 euros.
In addition, it will also proceed to repair the Plaza del Pueblo and the change of grade of the Camino de la Vega in Doña Inés
