Lorca hosts until Sunday the New Technologies Fair SICARM (30/11/2018)

The exhibition is held at the Lorca Fair and Congress Center with opening hours from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30 on Saturday, and from 10:00 to 14:00 on Sunday, being all activities are free.

Attendees will raffle prizes such as an electric skateboard 'Hoverboard', an external battery for mobile and personalized medals of Sicarm

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and the General Director of Information Technology, Heritage and Telecommunications, Juan José Almela, visited this morning the eighteenth edition of the Fair on New Technologies (SICARM), installed in the Center of Fairs and Congresses of Lorca .

The fair on new technologies Sicarm will be installed until next Sunday, with nine workshops in which visitors can learn to pilot drones at a special aerodrome, enter the world of virtual and augmented reality, print in 3D and build a robot.

To this are added educational activities on the safe and responsible use of the internet and on the natural and cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia.

The main novelty of this edition is that visitors can create last generation drones, program them and fly them on a special track with barriers and obstacles.

In addition, championships will be organized among the visitors, with an activity bracelet as a prize.

Another of the most attractive workshops for young people is the virtual reality, where you can discover the heritage of the region through the universe of science fiction 'Heritage Heroes'

All activities are free and the opening hours are from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30 on Saturday and from 10:00 to 14:00 on Sunday.

The complete visit lasts approximately two hours and among the attendees prizes will be raffled such as a skateboard 'Hoverboard', an external battery for mobile and personalized medals of Sicarm.

Sicarm is organized by the Ministry of Finance, through the General Directorate of Information Technology, Heritage and Telecommunications and the Integra Foundation, which has been developing this traveling exhibition throughout the Region of Murcia since 2001.
